iris is joining us from bakersfield. this age is going to celebrate her next birthday on march 20th. she usually very caring, compassionate, witty and is really quite good at delivering babies, thinking on her feet, outwitting others. their problem is with being stubborn, her temper, and understanding escalators. tsk tsk. welcome to OF MYTH AND MEN, hun.

personality:

You don't even know the meaning of over protective mother until you have met demeter Iris. She is very protective of Rosalia and there for can be a bit of a helicopter mother. She always needs to keep her eye on her even when Rosalia goes out with friends. She finds some way to know where she is at all times. Not only that but she is known to have a bit of a temper when she is angered. Some swear they feel the temperature of the room drop, but it might be her strong presence in the room when she is speaking her mind. Rarely do people want to stand in the way of her. Though Iris shares they qualities with Demeter, there are a few things they don't share. Iris loves the city and struggles with the goddess inside her whenever she takes trips to the city. Demeter can't stand it but Iris enjoys the fast past life and the shops and restaurants that line the streets. Iris also happens to really enjoy blue berry muffins which Demeter has started to enjoy herself a little. Iris is a bit more level headed and patient then Demeter who can be quick to jump to wanting to tear someone to pieces if they mess with Rosalia.

Despite her anger both Demeter/Iris are very compassionate and caring. They are the perfect natures and love to embrace those that need a little motherly figure in their life. It's not uncommon for them to "adopt" various people as her own and look out for them until they no longer need her. Though she isn't quite as protective of them as she is with Rosalia. Demeter and her host both take pride in the the ability to bring life into the world and to raise the younger generation. They are both very good when it comes to animals, though they have never had a real bit of their own. Iris picks up a lot of her wit from Demeter and over the years had added to it by her fascination with popular culture and the movies which Demeter doesn't really understand or care for. Demeter isn't really a romantic but Iris is. Soon though once Demeter is "awake" it is hoped that the two personalities will mesh and become one.

Iris was born in Bakersfield, California to Tara and Richard Collins. She was an only child and raised in a very average middle class family. For the longest time they thought that their daughter would go into studying zoology or botany but by the age of seven (which was very usual) she decided that she wanted to become a "doctor that delivered the babies". The parents thought this was a cute idea but didn't think she knew what she was really talking about. Little did they know, their young girl was stubborn and willing to prove them wrong. When she had her mind set on something she did it with no questions asked.

Iris graduated the top of her class and moved on to attend the University of California in San Fransisco for undergrad and later got accepted into the medical program to become an obgyn at the age of 17. Her professors all regarded her as a bright young student. She had a few flings while she attended school but one of them changed her life forever. She dated a young lawyer for several years. One day she discovered that she was pregnant. The thought of having a child scared her but she couldn't help but feel a sense of joy. She told Mason and he was levied. Feeling as though a child would ruin his career and hers. Iris was soon talked into getting an abortion in order to save her career and her relationship with Mason. This broke her and she entered into a depression. Soon after Mason broke up with her and she tried her best to finish school. When she was twenty two years old she came to the conclusion that she wanted a child but without a man in the picture. After finishing up her school and beginning her internship Iris set out to adopt an older child. That is when she saw Rosalia. She took her into her home when all was said and down and to this day she continues to support herself and her daughter. She now has a very successful private practice in Berkeley (where she moved after the adoption) at the age of thirty eight. She is not currently "awake".

hello! my name is kathy! and i'm excited to be here. i've been roleplaying for about forever years now. other characters on this site that belong to me are no on for now. my time zone is central. and that's all you need to know about me! oh, and this is what an average post for me looks like:

The ball was the only thing that Maggie could talk about and she knew that she have driven ETHAN PERRY
nuts with how much time she had spent getting her outfit ready for the
big night. She wasn't sure if her "favorite" guard would be showing up
to assist her but who could resist the night a ball? She didn't think CLAUDE WASHINGTON would really care considering she seemed to be in a favorable light. Maggie straightened out ANDREW JOHNSON tie and smiled. "Now promise me you two be a good and behave tonight, you know how much this night means to me." She narrowed her eyes on EMILY JOHNSON knowing that she probably would be the cause of most problems if there were any. "Mommy doesn't need any thing that would disgrace her throne. So no imaginary friends." she gave a sigh and looked at LUKE JOHNSON with a smile "Are you ready dear?"

Within
minutes the Johnsons were escorted out of the hotel and to the limo
that was waiting for them. Maggie applied some last minute coats of
lipstick and fixed her hair. She knew she needed to look prefect. She
was feeling a bit more feisty and she could almost bet by the end of the
night that  Ethan would be taking her children off her hands and back
to the hotel so she and Luke could "play". Her hand ran across Luke's
leg an she smirked. "I can't wait to have a private dance with you Mr. Johnson." The
limo arrived at the mansion and Maggie did one last outfit check to
both her children. The last thing she wanted was one of them walking in
with a messy outfit. "Don't fidget and remember what we practiced." she warned as she gave both of them some blood boxes to drink. "Remember this isn't our home so no messes."

Maggie
was greeted at the door by some  and led into the ball room just in
time to hear the announcements. She couldn't help but frown at the
mention of Corbin's name. It felt strange to have once worked for the
queen that was wanted dead by so many. Poor Heath, he didn't seem to see
how much of a weak link she really was to the monarch. Just when Maggie
was settling in, she was informed that her presence had been requested.
When her eyes landed on SAOIRSE ASHTON
she felt as if her heart stopped. There was something very unsettling
about the queen. Regardless, she needed to head over and pay her
respects. After all, she was the one that had gotten her the throne.
