The Greek Myths are reborn, reincarnated into the modern world and
bound to set chaos on mind-shattering levels. The Gods and Goddesses, the Titans
and even the beasts of old have reawoken in the modern age and only time will
prove that this will not be a good thing.

celeste amelia kinigos!
arty/moon moon is joining us from las vegas, nv. this twenty seven year old is going to celebrate his/her next birthday on july twenty first. she usually very stand off-ish, blunt, and somewhat rude and is really quite good at hunting and parkour. their problem is with interacting politely with males. tsk tsk. welcome to OF MYTH AND MEN, hun.
full name: celeste amelia kinigos celeb face: odette yustman member group: immortal age: twenty seven likes: hunting, animals, the night, her twin, and coffee dislikes: most men, people scaring her animals, being disturbed while she hunts, and hot tea
personality:
Celeste is, much like Artemis, a night owl. She enjoys wandering the woods at night, listening to the sounds of the forest. It's relaxing to her, almost as relaxing as hunting. She is fairly stand off-ish, liking to be either by herself or with her close-knit group of friends. She doesn't exactly like to be overly social, though she will socialize when she has to. She's blunt, not afraid to speak her mind about and tell people just how she feels. She can come off as slightly sarcastic as well, especially when dealing with men. Men, as a majority, are someone that she would rather avoid. She believes almost all of them to be pigs just after her for one thing. And that one thing is something that refuses to lose. Celeste can be rather rude, not really caring to mince words. She says what she means and she is quite happy to be that way. She does have a nice side, of course, though usually that is only shone to those she is really close to, such as her brother. When she is in the forest or surrounded by baby animals, this is when she is most at peace. True, she loves to hunt and even eat what she has killed, she also admires being around those same creatures that help her to sustain life. She's definitely not the kind of girl you want to walk up next to. In the morning, she is definitely groggy, agitant, and above all, snappy. Her brother has learned the hard way that the only way to wake her up without her wanting to dig what little nails she has into your throat is with a nice cup of coffee... and maybe a little breakfast as well. That never hurt either. If you happen to catch her on a good day, she can actually be quite enjoyable to be around. She can be sweet, polite, even teasing and playful, though it isn't a side that gets seen often and definitely not by strangers.
As for Artemis, she is quite confused about a lot of things that are going on right now. She'd rather share control in order to learn more about this new world. She has a rather violent side now, having not hunted in milenia. She is drawn to animals and admires them. It can be rather difficult to differentiate between Artemis and Celeste, their personalies so similar. The only thing that really helps someone figure out who they are talking about is probably their speech. Artemis speaks in a much more proper tone than Celeste, even if her tone always has a hint of frustration or annoyance in it. That and her little anger outbursts are a dead giveaway. She just needs her huntresses by her side again to help her stay calm.
history:
Celeste and her twin brother, ____, were born in Las Vegas. The city life had never really been for Celeste, though she had been forced to live there for about fifteen years of her life. She had often stuck close to her twin, who defended her and kept her calm when people at school or in her neighborhood tried to pick on her. In her youth she had been rather quiet, preferring to stay by herself or just with her twin than with anyone else. She could often be found sitting in the midst of the desert at night, listening to coyotes or watching after baby lizards. As she grew older, though, she started to grow more and more independant, able to defend herself verbally better from the abuse of other children. It was just before they moved to Lake Tahoe that she had gotten into parkour. It gave her something to do when she woke up and needed to go for her morning exercizes. Of course, she couldn't function much without doing her morning routines.
At about fifteen, her parents had moved them to Lake Tahoe. It was here that Celeste fell in love with the forest a, soon after, with hunting. She convinced her father to take her for her liscence as a sixteenth birthday present and had pretty much gone out hunting with him for years to follow. Life was simple for so long. Walk up, get coffee, go out for her morning exercises, get home to take a shower, go to school, then go to the forest to relax. On good days her twin would join her, though on days that she felt angry or depressed, she would go out on her own. A part of her feels drawn to the forest, a shiver of rememberance and anticipation always seeming to coarse through her the second she has a bow in her hands. Something she probably won't ever completely understand. Or, that she believes she will never understand. She feels at home when in the woods.
Life hadn't really held too much change for her over the years. Though her parents died a little after her twenty second birthday, that's been the only real change she's had. She mourned them for weeks, knowing that she will no longer have someone to connect with when it came to hunting. Next to her twin, her parents had been the most important people in her life. It took some time for her to get back into step and she decided to go to college for a few years. She went to school for zoology, getting just a simple bachlors (as well as training as a vet) before returning back to Lake Tahoe.
She is now twenty seven years old and working at veterinary clinic in Lake Tahoe. She often helps in the birthing of baby animals. Her and her twin live right next door to each other, still as close as ever. Artemis has not yet fully awakened, though her presense is somewhat known to Celeste.
hello! my name is luna! and i'm excited to be here. i've been roleplaying for about too many years now. other characters on this site that belong to me are rosalia mae collins. my time zone is est. and that's all you need to know about me! oh, and this is what an average post for me looks like:
There was something very wrong about this whole situation. What was it about these jellies that was making people go crazy about them? It just didn't seem right, didn't seem natural. So many were missing out of work, friends calling in sick out of the blue when, hours before hand, they were talking to her like nothing was wrong. The first week that had gone by with the new jelly candies seemed quite normal. Not a single thing out of place, save for the fact that they were bought up rather quickly yet never went out of stock. It was this second week that had Rose most curious. Calling in sick wasn't the only behavior change. It was the peoples adamant determination to push the candies onto anyone who hasn't tried them yet. From one perspective, it could seem rather frightening, how happy people were acting, how obsessed they were getting about the jelly.
"This just doesn't seem right," Rose muttered to herself, walking through the grocery store. She needed to figure out more about this product, not that she had any way to figure it out. Without the Doctor, she was pretty much doing what she could to keep peace in her town. Especially now that she was back on Earth, her Earth. The Earth she had originally grown up on, the one where she first met him. She would be forever grateful of the Human Doctor for finding a way to send her back, for giving her the opportunity to find the actual Doctor again. Though she feared that she wouldn't be able to recognize him. What if he already regenerated? She had seen it happen once and she knew that his appearance could be completely different now. The way he talks, his looks, his personality, even the things he likes to eat could have changed dramatically since the time she had actually seen him last.
As she walked up another aisle, Rose found jars of the jelly and small bags of the candies. The jelly itself was supposedly made by the same company as the candies and probably just as popular. A company in which, from all the research that Rose had done, doesn't actually exist. Or at least didn't exist on the internet anywhere. So what was the ploy here? There had to be something about the jelly. That was what brought her here to day. She was hoping to buy some and see if there was anything she could figure out without physically ingesting any of the wretched stuff.
Filling her basket with the jellies and candies, she tried to act normal, act as if she was in on the rage. So many others were in the aisle, watching her as if they knew something, like they had her all figured out. Rushing along, she kept her head down and her eyes towards the ground, making her way to the cash registers. It didn't take herself too long to get through the lines and pay for her groceries, trying her best to get out of the store and start to head back home as quickly as possible. Rose hadn't exactly planned too far ahead yet. All she knew was that she needed to get the jelly home and then hopefully figure out a plan from there.
"The Doctor would know what's going on," she grumbled, carrying her bags out the store and down the streets. It was strange, though. It was practically moments after she made this statement that a very familiar sound echoed through the streets. No, it couldn't be. She had to be hearing things. After all, she hadn't had any luck finding the Doctor yet, why would she suddenly run into him now? No, it was just her mind playing some sort of dreadful tricks on her.
She held the paper bag closer as the sound of what she could only recognize as the TARDIS quickly dispersed. Yes, only in her head, that had to be it. She continued her walk home, trying to formulate a plan to figure out the jelly problem. But, no matter how hard she tried, the only thing she could think of was the Doctor. The sound of the TARDIS had taken over her thoughts. What if he really was here? Maybe this was fate or some silly thing like that. She quickened her steps, eying her surroundings curiously.
And then, she saw it. The blue police box, the one that was supposedly suppose to be a disguise for the 1950's. But, no Doctor around. Maybe he was still inside? Or maybe he was already in town somewhere, trying to figure this all out. Rose stopped in her tracks, breath caught in her throat as she just stared at the TARDIS for a moment. Did she dare stay there? Knock on the door in hopes of finding the Doctor inside? After all, she had spent several weeks, possibly even months searching for him. Time often went by in a curious fashion. And only the Doctor could know how it went.
"Come on Rose, you can do this..." She held the bag with one arm and hesitantly approached the TARDIS. She had one shot, one chance. Because who knew if this was just a mistake? If it was going to disappear the second she blinked. Rose knocked once on the blue doors and closed her eyes, hoping for the best.
