persephone/rose is joining us from little rock, arkansas. this twenty one year old is going to celebrate his/her next birthday on march twenty first. she's usually very sweet, polite, and giggly and is really quite good at gardening. their problem is with being a bit too naive. tsk tsk. welcome to OF MYTH AND MEN, hun.

Rosalia is probably one of the sweetest girls you could ever meet. Probably too sweet for her own good. She has always been a polite and respectable girl. Her love for nature shines in her hearts and in her eyes, almost as if she was made to be the delightfulness of spring itself. She's often wandering about, straying from her mother due to her dazing out. Her thoughts seem to take the better of her on occassion, which is never safe for her. She believes that there is good in everyone and would rather find that good in people than focus on the one or two bad things they may do, even if most of what they do is bad. She is kid and thoughtful, often bringing flowers to those who seem to be lonely or just need something to cheer them up. She doesn't like seeing people sad and would do anything in her power to brighten their day. It is these things about her, though, that always have her mother worried. She is extremely naive, curious, and a bit too trusting of people, which often leads her to getting into trouble. She does have a slight rebellious side, wanting to do at least one thing that goes against her mother's wishes, even if she dislikes her mother being upset with her. She wants to just know what it's like to do the wrong thing... just once though. She is incredibly forgiving and is always willing to give others a second chance. The one thing that really breaks her heart, though, is when she hears her mother yelling. Anger is an emotion that just seems to be too overwhelming for her and she often runs off when there is too much anger around her. She feels as though she is meant to be happy and cheery and she cannot be that way amongst too much anger.

As for Persephone, she has changed a little since she died milenia ago. She has taken quite quickly to the personality that she now shares, seeing things from Rose's side and thinking it best to be more like her. Give everyone a fresh start. People can change, milenia should change people to some sort of a degree, right? Not only that but, as her human host had pointed out, all the gods now have a human counter part. If you are to judge them, you should judge them for both sides, not just the god or their past mistakes.

She was born Anna Marie Kauffman to parents she would never know. she had been raised for the first seven years of her life in Little Rock with her Uncle Marcus. Marcus hadn't exactly been the best uncle, though. He would often ignore and belittle her, call her all sorts of things as if it were her fault that his sister had died. As if it was because of her that her parents had gotten into the car accident. He abused her in so many ways yet she forgave him, she always forgave him. With a smile on her face and a slight song in her heart, she would always tell him that it was going to be okay... that she knew he had to be hurting from his loss and that, someday, he was going to find happiness again. She had always been positive as a girl, trying to find the bright side of everything. It annoyed her uncle to no end and, well. As these stories often go, a little after her uncle moved them to California, police got involved and she was put into the custody of the state. Instead of putting her through foster care though, for it seemed there were no open homes for her, she was sent to an orphanage. None of the kids at the orphanage really seemed to like her though so she would stay in the garden out back to tend to it, help it grow as the years went by.

At the age of twelve, a woman by the name of Iris came to the orphanage, wanting to adopt. Anna had been in the garden as usual when she felt the sudden need to go back inside. It was as if she was being drawn to someone inside, pulled towards them by some unknown force. This was when she first saw Iris. She had stared for a moment, a sense of familiarity in the womans features. There was something about her that made Anna feel as though she knew the woman. But she knew for a fact that she had never met her in her life. After a moment, she put on a bright smile and had gone over to Iris to give her a big hug. That was the day she got adopted and the day that would change her life forever.

Iris brought her to Berkeley and, upon Anna's request, got her name legally changed to Rosalia Mae Collins. With a new name came a new life and new excitements. She went to school and made plenty of friends though she was also often taken advantage of. She didn't usually realize when someone was using her until she told her mother about it though. And then the school board had a very angry mother to deal with. It was something that Rose came to admire, though. She liked to play in the garden, even sing. As the years went by, she grew to love nature more and more and now, at the age of twenty one, she is attending the college in Berkeley in hopes to get her masters in Botany. Persephone has yet to awaken, though she keeps having these strange tugs towards certain people, as if drawn to them. She can't help but be curious as to why, though she usually just puts it off as just that. A simple case of curiosity, something that she seems to have quite a bit of.
