The Greek Myths are reborn, reincarnated into the modern world and
bound to set chaos on mind-shattering levels. The Gods and Goddesses, the Titans
and even the beasts of old have reawoken in the modern age and only time will
prove that this will not be a good thing.

Maximum Evador Knoxely !
Max is joining us from New York. this twenty-two year old is going to celebrate his/her next birthday on May 30th. she's usually very energetic, cheerful, and sarcastic and is really quite good at parkour. their problem is with staying still. tsk tsk. welcome to OF MYTH AND MEN, hun.
full name: Maximum Evador Knoxely celeb face: Emma Stone member group: Deity (Thalia) age: 22 likes: Parkour, jokes, making people laugh, comedians, cheeseburgers dislikes: Staying still, intense situations, tripping, slow people, being tired
personality:
Maximum is more often than not described as having ADHD and being a total wild child. She doesn't just love running, she loves going over obstacles and has been doing parkour for as long as she can remember. Getting her to stay still is a challenge that most will not undertake without ice cream or soft pretzels. When she was young her parents would strap a bracelet onto her wrist that read "UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS THIS GIRL TO BE OFFERED COFFEE OR ENERGY DRINKS" but she 'accidentally' broke it sometime later. However, it is advised that you keep her away from such dangerous substances. Max has a slight addiction to sweet things, especially chocolate and anything inside of a bakery. Giving her such gifts will automatically put you high up on her list of friends. She loves making people laugh with jokes, sarcasm, and just generally attempting to make everyone feel good.
Thalia is, surprisingly enough, not much different. She is, obviously, the queen of comedy and loves to hear people laugh. Her joyous presence is said to increase everyone's urge to laugh in a room. Making people smile and have fun is her specialty though she can be quite immature about things and cannot handle serious situations without cracking jokes to ease the tension, or at least attempt to.
history:
Maximum was born in the Bronx area of NYC. She was the only child of Seamus and Alannah O'Flannery, both immigrants from Europe. They were a relatively happy family, but rather poor. Her father was a freelance writer and her mother did odd jobs around the city. Still, they had enough food and a roof over their heads, so there wasn't much for them gripe about.
Schooling was...interesting. Max was born wild and she made sure every single teacher she had knew as much. Focusing on one thing was nearly impossible. She was always fidgeting around and on more than one occasion she would ask to go to the bathroom only to wander about the school aimlessly. She was often mistaken as being somewhat dull, but was quite clever. At some point her counselors suggested going to a doctor about it but her parents couldn't afford such things. She was otherwise healthy, so why bother?
After graduating with an all right grade, Max went to college on a track scholarship and found herself to be incredibly attracted to mythology; Greek Mythology, to be exact. She surprisingly loved it and theater as well. Now after graduating she is simply wandering the city, looking for odd jobs around. Thalia is awake to some extent, but it is honestly quite hard to decide who is Thalia and who is Max most of the time so no one truly knows how awake the goddess truly is.
hello! my name is llama! and i'm excited to be here. i've been roleplaying for about 4 years now. other characters on this site that belong to me are about to be Cleo (Athena). my time zone is pacific. and that's all you need to know about me! oh, and this is what an average post for me looks like:
It was about time she took a break from life as a whole. Atalanta was feeling slightly overwhelmed by her situation in Texas, and the constant news of vampires swarming about made her stomach turn. They were after her, obviously. They all were! What chance would she ever have of facing them and actually winning? She was a mere human, after all.
So, the young woman got a hotel room, locked the door, and then she maneuvered a door under the handle just in case. The windows didn't open, the curtains were drawn, and all was secure. Atalanta fell onto the bed with a sigh of relief, and then she began to let go. She closed her eyes and took in deep, slow breaths. An experience like no other overcame her. Her spirit, her astral self, lifted and sat up, completely free of her physical self. She smiled, then stood up and looked at herself on the bed, sleeping as if in a coma. Checking first to make sure all was secure, the astral projectionist finally left the room and was able to teleport herself to the park.
She walked among the crowds, invisible and silent. Stopping in a less crowded portion of the park, she glanced around and drew in a deep, unnecessary breath. It was nice to be out without worrying about someone attacking her. Her moment of peace was short lived, however.
Atalanta had been watching the trees and the birds when there was a voice behind her that made her jump and yelp with surprise. A man peered around and up at her while she cursed colorfully, one hand clutching at her chest. "I was trying to enjoy a moment of peace, thanks," she said, obviously irritated by the nasty shock. She looked at him with a frown, wondering what exactly he was. Another psychic? Or was he a creature? Her bets were on the second option.
