The Greek Myths are reborn, reincarnated into the modern world and
bound to set chaos on mind-shattering levels. The Gods and Goddesses, the Titans
and even the beasts of old have reawoken in the modern age and only time will
prove that this will not be a good thing.
Iris sat on a park bench in the center of the Berkeley campus. She was waiting but she wasn't sure what for. Her daughter was safe. She knew that much. Most likely she was in one of her classes and far away from any danger. What was with that anyway? Iris began to wonder why she was so protective of her daughter. Was it because of him? She shock her head not wanting to remember that time in her life but couldn't help but to travel right back to that night. She loved him and thought that they would be starting a life together. Mason seemed to care more about his reputation than anything. He never cared for her. Only her brilliance. He probably had been in love with the idea of her.
"Mason please..."she pleaded. She watched as he paced back and forth in the apartment. She knew this wasn't a good sign at all. "You have to get rid of it." he turned to her with a livid expression. "It?! Excuse me. This is a child we are talking about. You said yourself you wanted to start a family with me! Sure, this is a little unexpected but we can manage. We have our love to hold us together, don't we?" Mason looked back at the wall and her stomach dropped. She didn't like his expression at all. He looked like a different person and this scared her. "You have to have go through with it. I'm not going to let a child ruin our relationship and our chances at a good life together." Iris placed a hand on her stomach as she took in those words. She could have sworn she could make out the small bump. "Is that what it's going to take?" Her voice was getting weak. She loved him. She was willing to give up her dream. She didn't want to lose him. Maybe he was scared because they were still young. "Yes." he said looking at her. His eyes softened. She believed him in that moment and even though he pulled her into a hug as tears began to stream down her eyes she couldn't help but shake the feeling of disappear from herself. After all was said and done Iris went into a deep depression. Three months later Mason left her. She was lucky that something in her managed to pull herself out of it all. There seemed to be something that pushed her to keep going.
After she graduated from medical school and started her work as an obgyn she decided that without the help from any man, she would adopt. She knew she was still fairly young but she was determined to give an older child a good home. When she saw Rosalia something seemed to click. It felt as if she was already her child even before she signed the adoption papers. She smiled as she thought of Rosalia. She had helped her grow and learn to love again. Those she was bitter towards always every man that crossed both her and her daughter's past. She at least had one light in her life. She was thankful for this. Demeter stirred inside her mortal host. There was a constant tugging and Iris could feel it. She couldn't understand what it was or why she felt so strange. She was starting to question herself.

It was a beautiful day in Berkeley, the sun was shining and of course that made Sampson quite happy, he was always enjoying the beauty and sunlight of the day. It was no secret that he loved to be out in the open, to be under the sun and enjoying the air. He was on the Berkeley Campus, it was a beautiful campus in its own rights and he was enjoying it. After all it was his first trip to the campus, he decided he would enjoy his stay while he was there. After all he loved to have fun, he loved to enjoy himself and he loved life itself. Being the host to Apollo only made that better for him. He loved it, the perks that came with being the host to a god. Not just any god either the sun god, the Lord Apollo of Mount Olympus. He loved it so far, the god had helped him out with his work and life and in return, Sampson had been hosting the god, working together with him.
He was in Berkeley for one reason, there was a guest doctor that was going be giving a lecture on a new procedure that he had been perfecting and Sampson wanted to be there to hear what the good doctor had to say. After all, he was a doctor himself, it would not hurt to keep up with modern medicine and Apollo was curious to see what it was as well. As Apollo is the god of medicine, the advances that were made interested him just as well. It was one of the reasons why Sampson and Apollo got along so well, they had similar interest and goals in their perspective lives, they could see eye to eye and work together in concert with one another. Sampson had gotten to the point of being used to having another voice near him and always there, a little odd at first when it came to the bedroom. Having another male voice in ones head, critquing ones methods and getting used to the god seeing what he sees, including himself was odd at first but he adjusted
He was walking around the campus, getting used to it, enjoying the view when he saw a little drink stand in the quad and he decided to stop and pick up an iced coffee, he had some time before his lecture would begin. He saw a woman sitting on a bench. He shrugged for a moment, walking up to her he smiled at her softly. Do you mind if I join you?

Iris hadn't noticed her unexpected visitor right away. His words broke her thoughts and she looked up at him trying to form a quick smile. "Not not at all. I am just waiting on my daughter to get finished with her classes." She was sure she sounded like the parnoid mother. It probably always sounded strange given her younger appearance. That could be thanked partly to her inner goddess and the fact she had adopted Rosalia at such a later age. "It's a beautiful day out don't you think?" She looked around her and admired it with sincerity. She loved how amazing everything looked during the spring.
She knew that people used the weather and nature to make small talk but she never joked around when it came to nature. She loved it just as much as her daughter. There seemed to be a strange connect she shared. Iris didn't think much of it other than it being something she really enjoyed. "You don't happen to know my daughter do you? Rosalia Collins?" She gave a bit of a smile. "She tells me she is doing well with classes but I can only take her word for it." She was teasing of course. Although she wanted Rosalia to do well she wasn't going to ground her for getting B's. Iris knew that Rosalia was a smart girl.
Iris adjusted herself on the bench and checked her phone for a sixth time. She was expecting Rosalia to text as soon as she was done with class but it seemed the more she checked her phone the slower time went. There really wasn't any reason for Iris to fear Rosalia getting into trouble after all she had a good head on her shoulder but Iris could not deny she was a bit navie when it came to men. Iris studied the young man sitting next to her. He seemed nice. Why couldn't Rosalia want boys like him.
